We're a busy family-owned tree service in the Kansas City metro, and we're adding an experienced climber to the crew. You need 3+ years of professional climbing and you have to be willing to climb, not just run the bucket. We provide the climbing gear, we'll train you on the bucket truck if you need it, and we're open to relocating the right person from out of town.
This is a long-term spot on the crew, not a fill-in job. You'll be in the canopy, and we back you up with a solid ground crew and company-provided climbing gear so you can focus on doing the work right. Residential removals, pruning and storm cleanup all over Kansas City, KS and MO. You do need to be willing to climb, not just run the bucket, but if you're newer on the bucket truck we'll train you on it.

Set your own lines and bring heavy wood down clean, with no surprises for the guys underneath you.
Bucket truck, crane and chipper on the bigger jobs. Everybody moves together and the day goes smooth.

No shortcuts because it's the last tree of the day. That's the whole standard here.
No resume needed. We care about what you can do in a tree and whether you show up.
Three or more years of professional tree climbing. This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have.
This is a climbing job, not a bucket-only job, and it is physically demanding work in the canopy through Kansas City heat and cold. We'll train you on the bucket truck if you need it.
Solid on proper pruning cuts and safe rigging practice. You know why a bad notch matters.
Nice to have, not required. If you're certified tell us, it counts toward your pay.
A CDL is a plus and opens up more pay, but it is not required to apply.
